So this is for real now....

All of us at Hope Remembered are thrilled to finally share our big news.

We now have 501c3 status!!

Talk about a reason to celebrate!

Two years.

Two years from the time we first stepped on Guinea Bissau soil.

From a little boy giving away his birthday for a well and school in Guinea Bissau.

From the Lord stirring in us a passion to do more, give more, be more, love more.

And here we are. He is faithful. He is moving. He is asking for more than we could ever give on our own. He is stirring in others what he first stirred in us. Our task is impossible in our own strength. Thankfully he never asks us to do something without going before us, beside us, and behind us.

Bringing Pastor Home

I realize it has been a LONG time since our last update. For that I apologize! We have completed a couple of projects over the winter and I will do an update with pictures soon.

This post is something different. This is about brining a little boy home to his forever family.
Meet Pastor...

This sweet guy is waiting to come home to his best friend. Once he is home they won't just be best friends. They will be brothers!

Our friends in Florida traveled to Guinea Bissau in 2012 to bring home two sons, age 4 and 5. Both boys have medical concerns which made their life expectancy very low in GB. Thankfully they are thriving here in the US. Over the course of this past year as their oldest son learned to trust in his parents, he shared of his time at the orphanage. The family quickly realized that he was grieving a great loss. The loss of his best friend.

Our friends contacted the orphanage for more information and learned that Pastor was eligible for adoption. So that's where we are now. Working the paperwork trail of adoption. We want to fully fund the adoption expenses from this point on.  We want Pastor to be home as soon as possible and finances will play a big role in this!

A PayPal account has been set up for their adoption expenses. A link is below to donate. While donations to projects in Guinea Bissau are tax deductible, donations to adoption costs are a huge blessing and gift, but NOT tax deductible.
